Langley Beef & Swine

Langley 4-H Beef & Swine (established in 1952) is a club that fully adheres to the 4-H motto of “Learn to do by Doing”. We make sure that our members learn and experience all that 4-H has to offer. We learn about, animal husbandry, record keeping, teamwork, leadership, and many other aspects of 4-H. All members are welcome to explore the opportunities 4-H has to offer.

We meet twice a month between January and June. The first Monday of every month we have our club meeting, and the last Sunday we bring our projects together for a weigh-in and training. During this time members also deliver communication projects and practice judging.

Throughout the summer we will participate in local fairs such as the Maple Ridge Fair and the PNE. In the fall we wrap up with an award and a buyers and supporters banquet. We also host 3 fundraisers throughout the year to support our club. 4-H is a tremendous opportunity to meet people, gain valuable experiences and have lots of fun. If you are thinking about becoming a member of our club, or would like more information, we encourage you to get in contact with us and we will be glad to answer any questions!
